The purpose of this policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal data. Our use of your personal data is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Dutch implementing legislation (together the Data Protection Legislation), as well as marketing rules. In this privacy policy we explain how we process the personal information we obtain through your use of this website, or through other interactions with you or with third parties, for example when you enquire about our services or meet us at an event. It is important that you read this privacy policy, together with any other privacy notice we may provide on specific occasions, so that you are fully aware of how and why we use your data, and what data protection rights you have.

When we say we, us or our in this privacy policy, we mean Milkman Digital, registered in the Netherlands with Chamber of Commerce number 73573566, whose office is at Jupiterkade 7, 2516 BS Den Haag. For the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation, we are the controller of your personal data. This means we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you.
2. Personal data we collect
Personal data means information which relates to an identified or identifiable individual. We may collect, use, store and transfer various types of personal data relating to your identity, contact details, profile, profession, use of our website and services, and our professional interactions with you. We do not provide services to children under 16 or collect their personal data. We may also collect, use and share anonymised, aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. 4. How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your device. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic, or lets a site know when you return to it. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual, tailoring their behaviour to your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about page traffic and improve our website. We only use this information for statistical analysis, after which the data is removed from the system. 5. How and why we use personal data

A legitimate interest is when we have a business or commercial reason to use your information, so long as this is not overridden by your own rights and interests.

6. Who we share personal data with
We may share your information with third parties for the purposes set out in this policy. For example, we may:

We use cloud-based platforms and tools for running our website, managing payments and accounts, marketing our activities, storing information and communicating with internal and external parties. The providers of these systems are based either in the EEA or outside it, mainly in the United States. Where a provider is based in the United States, we rely on its certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Some of our providers may further transfer your data to their group companies or to other processors based outside the EEA. Where they do, such transfers are either to countries the European Commission considers to provide an adequate level of protection, or are safeguarded by a lawful mechanism such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or binding corporate rules.

8. How long we keep personal data
We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data, so that it can no longer be associated with you, for research or statistical purposes. If your application is not successful, we will keep your data for one year after the end of the recruitment process. If your application is successful, we will keep most of your data for the duration of your internship. We will keep your contact details for six years after the end of your internship to keep in touch with you about future recruitment opportunities.

You have a number of rights in relation to your personal data, which let you access and control your information in certain circumstances. You can exercise these rights free of charge, unless your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a reasonable administrative fee or refuse to respond.

13. Keeping personal data secure
We have appropriate security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed unlawfully. We limit access to your personal data to those with a genuine business need for it. Those processing your information do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.
